Based in Lancing, Brooks Dance Academy offers exceptional training for dedicated dancers aged 3–18, from Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Southwick, Steyning, Hove, Brighton, Chichester, Horsham and beyond. We offer a clear pathway from beginner training to elite-level performance and vocational study.

Our Training

Dancers receive versatile, professional training across:

• Core styles: Ballet, Modern (Lyrical and Jazz), Contemporary

• Additional styles: Tap, Acro, Commercial and Hiphop, Musical Theatre

• Strength: PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) and Body Conditioning classes 
   

Clear pathways for all age groups

We focus on correct technique from the very beginning, with clear pathways for progression to our senior school:
 

• Minis: Age 3–5 (Pre-school and Reception)
  Our Mini Stars and Shining Stars classes offer a first step into dance at Brooks, every Saturday morning at our studio in Lancing.
   

• Juniors: Age 6–11 (Junior School)
  Our juniors can take a wide variety of technical classes, start taking their ISTD dance exams, as well as perform on stage as part of our award-winning competition team and troupe. 
   

• Teen/Inters: Age 11–15 and Seniors: Age 15–18 (Senior School)
  Our Teen and Senior school offers a full and versatile training in dance, with many local, national and international performance opportunities, as well as exams, competitions, events and more. ​

Performance and Opportunities

Students at Brooks benefit from outstanding opportunities, including:

• Troupes and company work from solos to duets to groups

• Festivals, competitions, shows and attending national and international competitions such as the Dance World Cup

• ISTD examinations up to pre-vocational level
